Leaked GTA VI Trailer Shows the Text “Buy BTC”

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, there was no official information or confirmation about a leaked GTA VI trailer featuring the text “Buy BTC.” It’s important to note that information in the gaming industry, especially related to unreleased games, can change rapidly, and I might not have the latest updates.

If there have been new developments or announcements since then, I recommend checking official sources from Rockstar Games or reliable gaming news outlets for the most accurate and up-to-date information on GTA VI and any potential trailers. Additionally, be cautious about unverified leaks, as they may not always be accurate or may be subject to change.

The trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI), the highly anticipated game suddenly shows an ad for Bitcoin, featuring a watermark that reads “Buy BTC”.

An account on the X platform with the username (@Gta6trailerleak) shared a leaked GTA VI trailer on Monday (4/12/23), one day before Rockstar Games announced that the official trailer would be released. The account has been banned by platform X, but the video it shared has gone viral.

The leaked trailer, which can still be seen on some X accounts, gives gamers a taste of the upcoming open-world action game. It also features the words “Buy BTC” printed covering the middle of the video, putting Bitcoin in front of the potential eyes of millions of gamers. However, the official trailer from Rockstar certainly does not have any message about Bitcoin.

A popular Bitcoin influencer on the X platform, Udi Wertheimer, stated in a post about this trailer that “millions of gamers will not stop talking about this, this two minute video is more effective than 10,000 hours of laser-eye podcats.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 was officially announced on Monday (4/12/23), soon after a trailer leaked with the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S set for release as early as 2025.

Gamers have been waiting for the follow-up to the GTA series to finally arrive 12 years after the launch of Grand Theft Auto 5, which has sold around 190 million copies to date across PC and three generations of game consoles.

Bitcoin has rallied in recent weeks, rising above US$44,000 for the first time in 20 months. Bitcoin prices rose in part due to anticipation that a spot Bitcoin ETF would be approved. There doesn’t appear to be any particular price spike on Monday related to the GTA VI trailer leak.
