DApps Solana, Jito Airdrop Billions of Rupiah

Airdrops in the context of decentralized applications (DApps) like Solana and Jito often involve the distribution of free tokens to existing cryptocurrency holders. If these airdrops are distributing tokens valued in billions of Rupiah, it could be a way to incentivize user adoption and participation in their respective ecosystems.

However, it’s important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any airdrop. Scams and fraudulent schemes are not uncommon in the cryptocurrency space, and users should only participate in airdrops through official channels associated with the projects.

If you’re considering participating in such airdrops, make sure to check official announcements from the Solana and Jito projects, and be cautious of potential phishing attempts or scams. Always use reliable sources to gather information about airdrops and cryptocurrency projects.

One of the DeFi platforms on the Solana network, Jito airdrops JTO tokens on Friday (8/12/23) at 00.00 WIB. Recipients of the maximum allocation from this airdrop get profits of up to billions of rupiah.

Jito Airdrop 100 Million JTO Tokens

Jito, a liquid staking derivatives (LSD) platform on the Solana network kicked off its decentralized governance phase by launching a governance rights token with the ticker JTO.

This token was brought into circulation by means of an airdrop of 100 million JTO to around 9 thousand wallets that met the following conditions:

JitoSOL staking: 80 million JTO for wallets that stake SOL.

Jito MEV validator: 15 million JTO for validator’s wallet.

MEV service users: 5 million JTO for wallets of MEV service users

Based on Coingecko’s data, JTO was recorded starting at US$6.01, bringing the total value of the Jito airdrop to US$601 million or around IDR 9.3 trillion. As of this article (8/12/23), JTO is trading at US$2.89 with a total airdrop value of US$289 million or around IDR 4.5 trillion.

Source: CoingeckoJudging from the airdrop allocation per wallet, it is noted that the minimum allocation per criteria is 4,941 JTO (tier 1 JitoSOL staking) which is worth US$14,300 or around IDR 220 million. Meanwhile, the maximum allocation per criteria is 800,000 JTO (tier 5 MEV service users) which is worth US$2.3 million or around IDR 35.8 billion.

Amidst the enthusiasm of people claiming the airdrop, it seems that the Jito website suffered a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack, where irresponsible parties flood the site with traffic to slow down its functioning. However, Jito has resolved this problem and the site is functioning again.
